WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU COMBINE A HURRICANE & A TORNADO?

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA.  Charlottesville natives Harli Saxon and Richelle Claiborne are two halves of a whole bunch of soul in their newest project, Perfect Storm.  The duo has performed at Rapture on Wednesday, February 20th as part of the Charlottesville Music Showcase Series.  Saxon & Claiborne will put their funky, soulful spin on classic covers and share new original material.  They will be opening for another of Saxon’s projects, Harli & The House of Juniper,winners of the Music Resource Center's 2017 Battle of The Bands and Rock Hits 92.3's Battle of the Bands in January 2018. 

  

Harli Saxon is a local singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. Native to Charlottesville, she began her professional music journey from the ripe age of 12 years old and continues to span throughout a broad range of projects and genres today.  She has performed in a multitude of venues within the area, making a name for herself as a solo artist before eventually finding a musical home with Harli & The House of Juniper.  

Richelle Claiborne is a Charlottesville native that has performed up and down the East Coast singing everything from jazz to metal to her own blend of original tunes and spoken word poetry aptly named "The Richelle Show”.  She is also an actress and a poet who has written 2 albums, several chapbooks,  a one-woman show, and has made music with countless other gifted musicians for the past 25 years.
